All art and recycling enthusiasts meet in the Mecca of Recyclart, settled at the 48, rue de Montmorency. This art space mixes unique artworks and amazing bright objects dating from the 20^th century. Connoisseurs will adore lamps made with former rackets or traffic lights, and robots made with toasters and even flags made of electronic pieces. We can say that the Brauer’s Gallery gives a second breath to these useless items, and the Gavarni Hotel is 100% agree with this approach!

The Artefact troupe’s opinion is that theater can be a good way of expression to call out people, so she stage striking and quirky plays about major news to criticize them. Besides, her last play, Alaska forever, has been written in partnership with Greenpeace. The subject is ecological disaster happened in Alaska, in 2006, caused by the oil tycoon BP. Several million liters were spilled into the Toundra. Alaska forever points ecological consequences linked to political system and tycoon behaviors out. A chief executive officer of an oil firm tells his story, as in a crazy reality show. A striking play to see from March 7th.

A whole poetic universe is hidden behind Rosa tapioca, a world of dreams where each collection is a story straight out from the imagination of its founder Aurelia Bernard. Inspired by old films and readings, collections reinterpret retro models with a modernity touch, relying on feminine curves. The simple and sensual line shows a mischievous style, refined and delicate. Furthermore, all materials are entirely made in France. Most of fabrics come from stocks of scrap of fashion houses, or are manufactured by different French weavers and knitters. Collections are limited or unique to preserve the quality and a clever production. A chic and ethical brand that we love!

Loose-fitting clothes and smooth fabrics, the fashion designer, Gabrielle uses her travels, her Melanesian childhood, her urban life to create fashionable clothes, humanist and poetic. She designs accessories too, such as these fanciful earrings, pelican-shaped, and they’re handmade (weaving, painting, artisan silk-screen…)!

Since,it promotes ecologic products came from all countries in the world. The green apple front has a wild escape look. Once inside, we find everything: Colombian coffee, Aleppo soap from Syria, Bolivian alpaca scarfs, Argentinian gourds, and even baobabs from Senegal! Of course, everything is produced respecting environment. A real breath of fresh air!

This year, Christmas lights innovate big time. Indeed, the world’s most beautiful avenue shines wearing environmental colors thanks to solar neon lights displayed on 200 trees of the Champs-Elysées. The plane trees sparkle like stars, adorned with little mirror discs, hung on branches and reflect the neon’s light. By the way, these neon lights have been made of a combination of LEDs which consume 31 000 kWh only, instead of  the 480 000 kWh of five years ago. The energy compensation is produced in a solar power station of the Pyrénées-Orientales. One aesthetic and ethical alternate to the usual little lights used during end-of-the-year festivities.

Earlier this year, we’ve presented the Designpack Gallery, this space exclusively dedicated to the art of eco-friendly packaging. We’ve referred to the arrival of the first 100% recycled Christmas tree. The end of the year is coming, it’s time to find back our creative child soul. Ultra easy to build, this green tree is made up of 43 recycled plastic bottles, its trunk and its foot are 100% recycled cardboard. The good news is that after Christmas, the tree can be stored for one year or taken apart and put in sorting bins, clever isn’t it? Especially that for each purchased tree, €2 are donated to WWF which plants trees and maintains forests. A responsible attitude for a green Christmas.
