Victoria: superstar sneakers

July 29th, 2011 by admin

Legendary in Spain where they come from, the Victoria shoes have already won over the European market. With their fresh casual and unisex style and a wide variety of colors available, the sneakers contribute to the success of the brand. And since pleasant surprises often come in twos, the soles of Victoria sneakers are made out of natural rubber and their dye present no danger for the environment whatsoever. What great environmentally responsible news!

A little extra: With their simple silhouette, these sneakers are ideal to customize. The brand even encourages their most faithful customers to send pictures of their most original designs. Go for it!

Change is in the Hair!

July 25th, 2011 by admin

Hair salons are one of the polluting activities of our modern world. Between the use of chemical products (parabens, ammonia, synthetic perfumes) and the important water consumption, these salons are dangerous for our health and especially for the environment. Fortunately, the first French Hair Concept with low carbon footprint has just opened a 300 square meter boutique next to the Saint-Eustache church. Imagined by Stéphane Amaru and Alexandre Cruzel, the Didact Hair Building houses private space dedicated to hair: a long hair counter, a natural hair tinting salon and a shop in shop where all products are sold for wholesale prices! A small revolution in the services dedicated to hair beauty.

Open on Tuesdays from 1 to 7 pm, on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10.30 am to 7.30 pm and on Fridays and Saturdays until 8.30 pm.

The temptations of Carette

July 20th, 2011 by admin

There’s nothing better than breakfast at Carette‘s before work. This very frenchy tea room has a terrace resembling a piece of urban paradise with an uninterrupted view on the Eiffel Tower and surrounding gardens. The waitresses dressed in white aprons are bustling around the marble tables and serving delicious delicacies to customers: cream puffs, tarts and cakes from Normandy, chouquettes… And the specialty of the house: macaroons. Chocolate, salted-butter caramel, blackcurrant-violet and raspberry, all you have to do is choose your favorite flavour. The good news? Carette even opens in the evening, perfect for our night nibbling cravings.

Open every day from 7 am to midnight.

Yargici set out to conquer Paris

July 13th, 2011 by admin

Still quite confidential in Paris, the lovely Turkish brand Yargici opened its first boutique last September in the area of Passy. We can find basics with comfortable cuts, shades of beige or nude and impeccable fabrics. Drawing inspiration from the North, the brand works on materials to bring out a chic, fresh and girly style. Parisian girls should be delighted because between the flower patterns and plays on superimposition, Yargici definitely is in style for the summer!

Open from Monday to Saturday from 10.30 am to 7.30 pm.

On the terrace of the Villa Passy

July 11th, 2011 by admin

A few steps away from the Eiffel Tower, in a lovely cul-de-sac of the 16th arrondissement, the terrace of the Villa Passy attracts the gaze of passers-by with its curious preserved garden. Pretty little restaurant nestled at the end of the street, it’s the ideal meeting spot for lovers of nature. The menu, limited but varied, presents fresh products and home-made dishes only. It’s difficult to make a choice among the hamburgers, perfectly crusty potato tarts, salmon and guacamole tartar and salads. Our taste buds are always impatient to discover the flavours of the day. The Villa Passy definitely is a refreshing island where it is nice to have a meal while bathing in a quiet atmosphere with a bucolic and country charm. For an hour or two, we could even forget that we actually are in Paris!

Open from Tuesday to Saturday from 12 to 10.30 pm and on Sundays until 3.45 pm.

Introducing “A Green House for 1 Euro”

July 11th, 2011 by admin

The company ENERGENCY France is pursuing its objective to develop and introduce onto the market via their network and with their partners a “Green House for 1 Euro”. Thanks to the energy the house produces and sells to the network, this positive energy house is capable of financing itself, therefore allowing underprivileged people to purchase it for 1 Euro. The sustainable development technologies are not an end in themselves. They also bring incredible hope to the underprivileged populations our society creates each day.
